Danskos are sized according to European (EU) sizing standards, with each increment comparable to a United States (US) whole size.
Since the EU sizing standard does not accommodate half sizes, please use the following tips to ensure the proper fit:
Closed-back styles:
If you are a half size, you may be more comfortable sizing up.
For example, if you are a womens US size 7.5, you may be more comfortable in an EU size 39.
Fit may be slightly snug when stepping in.
Fully closed heel provides superior support and protection.
Smooth, seamless heel counter allows heel to move up and down as you walk.
Contoured footbed cradles the foot and provides superior arch support.
For those in between sizes, try sizing up for the closed-back models.
Open-back and sandal styles:
You may be more comfortable sizing down for open-back models.
For example, if you are a womens US size 7.5, you may be more comfortable in an EU size 37.
Open-back and sandal models support the full length of the foot.
For some wearers, the heel of the foot will meet the back end of the shoe exactly; for others, the heel may be slightly forward of the end.
